The idea of Mercatay was born more than twenty-five years ago, when our founder Javier Castelló started to travel across different countries in Europe ​​promoting his Valencian hometown traditions and its unique and wonderful gastronomy.

His vision of sharing the authentic and world-renowned Valencian paella, as well as other original products from Spain such as paella pans and kits, paella burners, rice, traditional seasonings, Spanish hams, canned seafood, -and many other products from all over Spain- came to life in one single and convenient place: Mercatay.
